Eligibility
|
|
To be eligible for the FASTNET Undergraduate Bursary, students must:
|
· Be a 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate student
|
|
· Have a good academic record
|
|
· Be pursuing a degree in engineering, science, computer science or mathematics
|
|
· Be available from Mon 14th June to Fri 27st August 2010 inclusive
|
|
|
How to Apply
|
| 1. |
Select a research area of interest (see the list of research groups in About the Programme)
|
| 2. |
Ask a member of staff at your current university department to send a letter of recommendation to Tyndall before Fri 5th March 2010.
|
| 3. |
Submit an application which includes the following information:
|
|
|
· Contact information (including email address)
|
|
· Education beyond primary school
|
|
· Previous exam performance at university and expected final grade
|
|
· Details of any relevant work experience (max. 2 pages)
|
|
· Two research areas that most interest you and why (max. 2 pages)
|
|
· Related skills (max. 2 pages)
|
|
· Why you want to be a participant of the Tyndall summer bursaries programme (max. 2 pages)
|
|
· The name and address of the person writing a recommendation letter for you
|
|
|
