Cell Health Monitoring
Tyndall’s competence in development of various lab-on-chip platforms is based on its researchers and infrastructure, with capabilities for fabrication of devices from silicon, glass, and various polymers. As an example, a multiparameter cell sensing platform has been developed by Tyndall which enables realtime monitoring of cell health by combining optical and impedimetric analysis of cells within microfluidic chips. It has been demonstrated that this system can be used for toxicity testing of potential anticancer drugs, while the impedimetric sensing capabilities developed are being evaluated for a range of in vivo health monitoring applications. Several other lab-onchip/microfluidic platforms have been developed for various applications including systems for CE, HPLC and cytometry.
