BIOGRAPHY:
BSc and MSc (Mechanical Engineering) from the University Twente, The Netherlands in 1986 and 1989 respectively. Thesis: Macro design within an intelligent simulation interface for manufacturing operations.
Project Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing Technology group, Digital Equipment Corporation, Galway, Ireland from 1989 until 1992. Interconnection technology development for Multi Chip Units in mainframe computer systems.
Research Scientist, NMRC, Ireland 1992. Consultancy for the electronics industry and R&D of advanced microelectronic interconnections & packaging.
Senior Research Scientist, NMRC, Ireland, 1996. Microsystems (since 2001 Biomedical) interconnection, packaging and integration.
