PhD and Masters Vacancies
The first step in applying for a postgraduate position in Tyndall is to identify a suitable research project and supervisor. Details of all currently available positions can be found here. (Student positions can be found by searching for masters or PhD positions in the "job title" tab.)
Tyndall also hosts undergraduate interns for placements of varying duration. To enquire about these, have a look at our Research Centres to identify topics of interest and contact details for the relevant researchers. You can also contact email@example.com
For the past number of years, the FASTNET Programme has been providing funding for undergraduate students to undertake an 11 week summer research project with one of the research groups in Tyndall. The students are assigned a task related to the research of the group, and introduced to the methods, equipment and software used by modern ICT scientists. The student then applies these to their own assignment, and produces a written report of their results at the end of the 11 weeks. They also make an oral presentation to the other bursary students, describing their project and their results. A number of events are organized for the bursary students throughout the summer, including tours of ICT companies and social outings. Details of the 2012 programme can be found here.
