BC-69 Researcher – Surface emitting lasers
Contract: Full Time/ Fixed term
Job Description
We seek an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to design and develop vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) with fine control of their optical properties along with their integration with spintronics for applications in neuromorphic computing systems. The work will be carried out within the III-V materials group working on similar devices. The successful applicant work within the framework of the FET-OPEN project called SpinAge funded by European Commission under Horizon 2020 programme.

This is a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher opportunity in University College Cork for 2 years with possible extension to 3 years.
The appointment may be made on the Post-Doctoral Researchers scale €38,630 - €45,942 p.a. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with the public sector pay policy.
