Explorer seeks applicants for 2022 Deep Tech start up programme

Following a successful first launch, Explorer is back for 2022 and seeking Individuals or teams with impressive, scalable ideas to participate in its deep-tech pre-accelerator programme.

Building on the success of last year’s programme, Explorer 2022 has been launched as a collaboration between the Irish Photonics Integration Centre (IPIC), Tyndall National Institute, international high-tech photonics Osram Opto Semiconductors, CONNECT Centre, Atlantic Bridge, Intel, Midas, Nova UCD and Science Foundation Ireland.

The programme, whose mission is to empower entrepreneurs with deep-tech ideas, is looking in particular for those applicants with early stage ideas in technology areas such as energy efficient chips, power semi-conductors, smart sensors, advanced optical equipment and compound materials and solutions for the following fields - health, wellbeing, green society, agriculture and transport.

The programme will run from February to May 2022. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to learn from the best, receive training and industry mentorship to develop their idea from concept to pitch. A total of eight ideas will be selected to participate on thirteen half-day workshop sessions, culminating in a programme showcase.

Apply online by midnight on 17th January at explorer2022 or email queries to explorer@tyndall.ie
