QUANTUM RESEARCH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We have immediate opportunities for research leaders who want to develop an ambitious strategic research vision for Quantum Computer Engineering that leverages the unique infrastructure, capabilities and full range of expertise of Tyndall. You will establish and grow a world-class team and through your leadership and management develop its reputation as a world renowned Quantum research group. You and your team will deliver excellent research outcomes such as influential or milestone publications in recognised journals and conferences and you will attract, retain and develop new Quantum talent including research staff and post-graduate students. 

At Tyndall we are continuing to substantially invest in equipment, labs and supports for Quantum and our new dedicated Quantum Computer Engineering Centre (QCEC) will be based at Tyndall’s planned facility in Cork which is a key part of the Institute’s plans to double in size and impact by 2025.

TYNDALL QCEC

Minister Simon Harris, T.D., the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science has launched Ireland’s first Quantum Computer Engineering Centre at Tyndall. The new centre Tyndall QCEC and multi-million-euro investment will see an additional 900 sq metres of research space and 45 new jobs dedicated to quantum research.

We are looking for established and emerging research leaders across a number of themes in the Quantum field to come and help lead new teams as we realise quantum science.
