PP-06 Researcher –Growth and Fabrication of III-Nitride Devices (2 positions)

Tyndall National Institute at University College, Cork invites applications for two positions as postdoctoral researchers in the growth and fabrication of III-nitride devices. The successful candidate will join the Photonics Centre at Tyndall to work within the Irish Photonic Integration Centre (IPIC) under the direction of Professor Peter Parbrook on the growth of III-nitride devices on novel substrate orientations for visible light emitting applications and the fabrication of light emitting devices from the material. The successful researchers will be involved in the design, growth, characterisation of the semiconductor structures, and in their device fabrication and test. They will work in a team collaborating strongly with the other members of the Nitride Materials and Devices research group, and the III-V fabrication group, led by Brian Corbett. Strong interpersonal skills are required in particular to collaborate with industrial partner sponsoring the research.
