As a result of these growth plans, Tyndall now has a requirement for an experienced, technology recruitment specialist to take the lead role in sourcing, engaging and attracting excellent research talent.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As our dedicated Research Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be highly collaborative and results focused, with interpersonal skills that enable you to develop lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. From generating a robust high calibre candidate pipeline to maintaining a high offer conversion rate, you will manage the entire candidate process for all of our strategic research roles ranging from early career researcher to established managers in research and support functions.

This is a highly collaborative and relationship-based role working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a first class, end to end recruitment experience that meets and exceeds business needs. High energy, passion and relevant previous experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute novel and effective sourcing strategies and techniques to find and engage passive and mobile high calibre talent
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand their strategic hiring needs and develop appropriate recruitment strategies 
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection campaigns, ensuring an excellent experience for candidates
  • Experience in developing and presenting impactful recruitment related training materials to supervisors and hiring managers
  • Be accessible and responsive, clearly communicating throughout the recruitment process with all stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate candidate database and talent pipeline that will meet our strategic talent acquisition requirements
  • Engage candidates through all relevant digital channels
  • Network appropriately to scout and source candidates
  • Develop relationships with key candidate and specific talent pools by developing strong candidate relationships
  • Work with internal colleagues to further develop talent attraction and employer brand solutions including web pages, social media and networking strategies
  • Report on strategic recruitment activity and prepare weekly, monthly and Ad Hoc reports for the management team.
  • Occasional travel to European and international locations to support the talent acquisition process
  • Participate in Education and Public Engagement activities, as required.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with the Tyndall Quality Management system and required Health & Safety standards.
  • Carry out any additional duties as may reasonably be required within the general scope and level of the post.

Essential Criteria

  • 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Typically 7+ years recruitment experience in a technical / engineering / academic / research organisation, in either an agency or in-house recruiter role
  • Successful track record recruiting technical roles at all levels from intermediate to senior talent
  • Extensive experience in using LinkedIn and other social media tools to identify and engage talent
  • Ability to develop and deliver recruitment related support materials including web pages, applicant database and networking training

Desirable  Criteria

  • Degree or Masters qualification in a relevant technical discipline e.g. Physics, Electronics, Chemistry, Engineering
  • Previous recruitment experience within a research environment

Appointment may be made on the Grade 6 Admin scale (B) €51,042 – €60,941.  Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
