Leader in Integrated ICT Hardware & Systems

John Justice -

  • Photonics

John Justice received First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering from University College Cork in 1993 and a Masters in Engineering Science from NMRC (now Tyndall) in 1995. He  worked as a Digital ASIC Design Engineer for Silicon Systems Ltd in Dublin before returning in 1996 to work as Optoelectronics Product/Process Engineer with a Cork-based SME, Plasma Ireland Ltd., now Applied Optotech. While there he had responsibility for: Product development of LED custom parts for machine vision and medical applications, technical sales and marketing to new and pre-existing customers and production support engineer. He moved to the Tyndall Institute in 2001 where he has been working in the design, fabrication and testing of semiconductor lasers, targetting their use in advanced applications.
