This symposium focuses on how emerging sensor technologies can address real-world challenges in agriculture and healthcare. Rather than discussing sensing platforms solely from a technical perspective, the program begins by examining the practical needs and challenges faced by farmers, clinicians, and healthcare providers. It then explores how MEMS-based sensors, Chemical/biochemical sensing systems, and optical sensing technologies can be designed, adapted, and deployed to meet these needs.
