Dr. Padraic Morrissey is a Senior Technology Programme Manager at the Tyndall National Institute in Cork, Ireland. He earned his PhD in Physics with a focus on Integrated Photonics from University College Cork. Dr. Morrissey specializes in photonic research and development, concentrating on electro-optical packaging in the medical, sensing, and communications sectors. His career includes leading large, multi-partner EU projects and managing industrial engagements. At Tyndall, he oversees various aspects of photonic packaging, from prototype development to key roles within the PIXAPP Pilot Line as both Technology Manager and Pilot Line Programme Manager.
