Postdoctoral Researcher/ Scientist in Emerging RF Front-End and Antenna Subsystems

DP-12 Post doctoral Researcher/ Scientist in Emerging RF Front-End and Antenna Subsystems

Contract: Full-time/Fixed Term.

The Advanced RF Technologies (ART) Group at Tyndall National Institute (TNI) and University College Cork is advertising for the position of the Post-doctoral Researcher/Scientist in Emerging RF Front-End and Antenna Subsystems. Our team aims to recruit a well-qualified and highly-motivated researcher with strong background in electromagnetics, RF/mm-Wave design of passive components, RF front-end subsystems and antennas as well as experience with additive manufacturing. The post holder will be the lead researcher of interdisciplinary research projects aim to develop highly-integrated and performance-enhanced RF front-ends for 6G communications and Internet-of-Space (IOS). Specifically, the successful candidate will be engaged in research aiming to develop: i) novel high-frequency RF components and antenna sub-systems using digital additive manufacturing technologies and ii) high-frequency RF tuning techniques for 3D RF components/subsystems. Furthermore, the postholder is expected to be involved in project management, proposals development, co-supervision of MS and PhD students and lab management.

The candidate will be given an initial 12 months contract with scope for long term extension subject to performance and availability of funds.

The successful candidate will become a member of a diverse and vibrant community of academics, research professionals and students at TNI and UCC and will have access to world-class RF characterization and manufacturing facilities at TNI, UCC. Further information on our community and infrastructure can be found in the following websites: Advanced RF Technology Group: https://advancedrftechnologies.com/ University College Cork: https://www.ucc.ie/en/, Tyndall National Institute: .
