2020 BOC Postgraduate Bursary award presented to Tyndall researcher Vuslat Juska

The 2020 BOC Postgraduate Bursary award was presented to winning researcher Vuslat Juska by Kieran Hennessy, Business & Relations Manager, BOC Gases and Prof William Scanlon, CEO, Tyndall National Institute. BOC Gases is the largest supplier of industrial gases, speciality gases and gas equipment in Ireland, and the BOC Postgraduate Bursary is presented annually by BOC Gases to outstanding Tyndall students.

Vuslat Juska, 2020 BOC Postgraduate Bursary award winner

Vuslat Juska received the award for her PhD research on Electrochemical Bio-Sensing Based on Micro and Nano technologies.

On receiving the award, Vuslat said, 

Tyndall National Institute is one of the best research centres in Europe with access to excellent facilities underpinning the studies of early-stage researchers like me. I have always been honoured to be a part of this unique community of great researchers and experts. Growing in this environment as a scientist and being rewarded with a very prestigious BOC award are the greatest achievements in my research career. I am delighted to be chosen as a winner from a huge field of brilliant and ambitious students in Tyndall.

The annual BOC Gases Bursary is awarded on the basis of research accomplishments and promise for the future. The award is open to Tyndall Masters and PhD students beyond their first year of study who are supervised by Tyndall staff or Tyndall academic members, who  are eligible to apply if their research is based in or involves Tyndall.
