Tyndall Hosts ENTIRE EDIH Digital HealthTech Showcase Evening 2026

On 28th January, Tyndall hosted the ENTIRE EDIH Digital HealthTech Showcase Evening 2026, drawing strong engagement from research active clinicians across multiple disciplines. The ENTIRE European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), funded by the European Commission through Enterprise Ireland, supports digital transformation, including in the healthcare sector by providing access to technical expertise, testbeds, training, and collaborative innovation services.

Researchers and engineers showcased emerging digital health tech for wearable, minimally invasive, and implantable novel diagnostics and therapeutic applications. New opportunities were identified to enable digital transformation of healthcare delivery, which will lead to better clinical outcomes and improved efficiency.

The aim of the event was to enable clinicians of all disciplines to see examples of emerging digital health tech, meet the researchers and engineers involved, and to promote discussions on the development of potential new solutions for clinical challenges leading to new collaborations leveraging national and European funding opportunities.

Dr Paul Galvin, Senior Head of Group Bioelectronics at Tyndall and Director of ENTIRE EDIH, emphasised the importance of continued engagement between the clinical and research communities:

Through the hosting of events such as this, ENTIRE EDIH is promoting digitalisation in health tech. We encourage clinicians from all disciplines, and the wider clinical community across the region, who are interested in emerging technology or who would like to explore opportunities for potential research collaborations, to contact us.

The showcase reflected the collaborative strength of the ENTIRE EDIH partnership, supported by Enterprise Ireland, MTU, UCC, Skillnet Ireland, the Walton Institute, and aligned with the wider European Digital Innovation Hub network under the European Commission.
