Dr. Abhishesh Pal is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the PEN Group at Tyndall National Institute, working on the EU project E-SPF Digit to develop innovative capillary electrophoresis sensors for precision agriculture and biomedical applications. His research focuses on creating affordable, high-performance sensing platforms for environmental monitoring and point-of-care diagnostics.
A Fulbright Fellow (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and recipient of India’s prestigious Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Award, Abhishesh specializes in microfluidics and sensor technologies. His expertise spans electrochemical, optical, and electrophoretic sensing platforms that combine analytical precision with field-deployable portability.
With multiple patents and peer-reviewed publications, his work bridges the gap between laboratory research and practical field applications. At Tyndall, he is expanding his research to develop next-generation sensing technologies for sustainable agriculture and healthcare diagnostics.
Abhishesh’s interdisciplinary approach combines materials science, microengineering, and electronics to create accessible technological solutions. He is particularly interested in collaborations that translate fundamental research into real-world impact.
