Aditya Singh (Member, IEEE) received his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India, in 2016. He earned his M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Communication System Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna in 2018. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur in July 2024, where he was awarded the prestigious TCS Research Fellowship. During his doctoral studies, he was affiliated with the Wireless Sensor Networks Laboratory, focusing on energy-efficient network design.
Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Tyndall National Institute, Ireland. The thrust area of his research focuses on developing simulation frameworks for IoT device power modeling and system-level integration. His broader goal is to improve the operational lifetime of IoT networks, addressing the demands of emerging applications in domains such as smart healthcare, urban infrastructure, and precision agriculture.
His work integrates methodologies from Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to design energy-efficient Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), develop advanced energy harvesting and management techniques, and enable UAV-assisted, self-sustaining IoT systems. He actively collaborates with academic and industry partners across Europe, contributing to the development of energy-aware simulation models and testbeds under various EU-funded projects. As part of the INFRACHIP initiative—supporting Europe’s digital and green transitions—he is also engaged in writing research proposals focused on sustainable and scalable IoT infrastructures.
