Bharathesh is a final-year PhD student in Life Science Interface Group at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork. His research focuses on the development of a smart bolus microfluidic module for bovine microbiome sample collection and pre processing.

Bharathesh’s core interests lie at the intersection of engineering and life science, particularly in diagnostic tools, health monitoring systems, and medical device development. He is passionate about translating advanced research into practical solutions that can improve patient outcomes and global health equity.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in a related field focused on microfluidics, and has gained experience through interdisciplinary collaborations. Over the course of his PhD, he has presented his work at national and international conferences.
