Frank Peters is a professor in the School of Physics at University College Cork, and the head of the Integrated Photonics group at the Tyndall National Institute. He has authored more than 300 papers and holds over 50 patents all concerned with thermal, optical, electrical and systems issues relating to the design and use of photonic devices and high speed photonic integrated circuits. His primary interests are in using interesting physics to solve photonics problems.
