Kaynat is a PIADS PhD student working on theoretical description (with photonics theory group at Tyndall National Institute) and experimental characterization (with Centre of Advance Photonics and Process Analysis, CAPPA at MTU) of waveguide integrated electro-absorption optical modulators by exploiting Quantum confined stark effect (QCSE) in Ge/SiGe heterostructures.
