Saba Abdul Shakoor is a PhD student at Tyndall National Institute, working on the development of multifunctional computer mouse components. Her research focuses on identifying environmentally friendly alternatives to PTFE (Teflon) for mouse feet, addressing issues such as environmental impact, wear rate, and frictional performance. She is particularly interested in sustainable material solutions for everyday technologies.

Saba holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, providing a strong foundation for her current interdisciplinary research. As part of her academic achievements, she participated in the CECAM Flagship School, enhancing her expertise in advanced materials and tribology. She continues to build on her academic and professional experiences to contribute to innovation in sustainable materials.
