Thomas Healy is the Commercial and Research Project Manager for the Speciality Products and Services Centre at the Tyndall National Institute and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) since 2011.
He has been the Tyndall principal investigator on a number of European Union and Enterprise Ireland funded research projects and has co-ordinated several international and multidisciplinary partner companies within these projects. He has had a number of peer reviewed scientific articles published in these areas, including a series of chapters in five separate internationally published research books in the ICT area.
Thomas has a portfolio of commercially focused research projects including a newly funded €5M H2020 project called KET4CleanProduction which is a one-stop-shop for pan-European access to innovation services for SME’s in clean production.
He is also managing the commercial research programme for Tyndall in an SFI research centre called CONFIRM (www.confirm.ie). This is a €47M research centre in advanced manufacturing comprising of 8 academic institutions and 42 industry partners.
