The programme will be held from 5th – 9th February 2024.This programme is in high demand. Please only submit an application form for consideration if you are available to attend the full duration of the programme.
All students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the programme. The programme gives transition year secondary school students a flavour of a week in the life of a researcher in our world-class research facility as well as the opportunity to learn about topics like electronics, sensors, materials science, electrochemistry, photonics and physics through talks, demonstrations and lab tours. As part of their TY work experience, students will also be assigned a mini project to work on during the week based on the Institutes area of work. Each student must research their assigned topic area and create a poster which they will present for 5 mins each at the end of the week.
Places are limited and applications will be assessed. The decision of the judging panel is final.
Students will be informed no later than 6pm Monday the 6th of November regarding the outcome of their application.
