Tyndall Researchers Recognised at UCC's Research and Innovation Awards

We are pleased to announce that Tyndall was awarded ‘Licence of the Year’ at the recent UCC Research and Innovation Awards.

Pádraig Cantillon-Murphy, Daniel O’Hare, Manish Srivastava, Kilian O’Donoghue, and Alexander Jaeger, received this award in recognition of their pioneering work in electromagnetic navigation technology for medical applications. Building on over 15 years of research at Tyndall National Institute and University College Cork, the team has developed a miniature smart sensor chip for advanced tracking systems that enable the precise positioning of instruments during image guided procedures.
