Researcher/Scientist in Microwave/mm-Wave active circuits

DP-5 Researcher/Scientist in Microwave/mm-Wave active circuits for 5G RF front-ends

Contract: Full Time/Fixed Term

The Advanced RF Technologies (ART) Group at Tyndall National Institute (TNI) and University College Cork is advertising for the position of the Post-doctoral Researcher/Scientist in Microwave/mm-Wave active circuits for 5G RF front-ends. Our team aims to recruit well-qualified and highly-motivated researchers with strong background in RF/mm-Wave circuit design, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, RF front-end components and integrated circuits. The post holder will be the lead researcher of an interdisciplinary and ambitions project that will research and develop highly-integrated and performance-enhanced RF front-ends for highly-versatile 5G RF transceivers. The postholder will require competences in RF circuit design, electromagnetic design, linear and non-linear RF characterization. Furthermore, the postholder is expected to manage the project and co-supervise MS and PhD students.

The candidate will be given an initial 18-month contract with potential of extension to a multi-year contract subject to performance and availability of funds.

The successful candidate will become a member of a diverse and vibrant community of academics, research professionals and students at TNI and UCC and will have access to world-class design, characterization, and microfabrication facilities at TNI, UCC. Further information can be found in the following websites: Advanced RF Technology Group: https://advancedrftechnologies.com/ University College Cork: https://www.ucc.ie/en/, Tyndall National Institute: .
