Tyndall’s Annual Cultural Celebration

Tyndall’s Cultural Fair took place earlier this month and was an invigorating event that saw the Tyndall community celebrate its inclusive and diverse culture.

Organised by Tyndall’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team, the event showcased the multiple hidden talents of our staff and students, with some performing live at our ‘Tyndall’s Got Talent’ show, and others displaying their skills and creativity with an exhibition of beautiful arts and carts, and an array of tasty homemade baked treats!

There were over 25 participants on the day, and the audience were treated to an eclectic mix of entertainment, with singing, guitar playing, traditional Irish fiddle, and poetry, to name a few!

Tyndall’s annual Culture Day is an important event in the Tyndall calendar. At Tyndall we strive to bring people together and give everyone the opportunity to express their unique backgrounds and traditions in an engaging and inclusive environment. This activity raises awareness and engenders greater understanding, equality and acceptance of our diversities.

Tyndall is home to a multidisciplinary research community of over 600 people of 52 nationalities.

Funds were raised on the day for two local charities: LINC and the Gay Project.
