The Materials Theory Group was established in September 2003 as the Condensed Matter Theory Group and is funded by Science Foundation Ireland.

We are one of a cluster of research groups working in materials in Cork, as part of the Tyndall National Institute, which combines research activities at the previously existing NMRC with other groups in UCC and CIT.
