Tyndall National Institute at University College Cork invites applications for a research assistant position aimed at research on the gate stack electrical and structural properties for new generation of spintronic devices. The research assistant role is funded by the EU INTERFAST project, and includes SEM, AFM and temperature-dependent electrical characterisation of test structures and spin-based logic devices as well as data analysis and reporting.

This is a full-time, specified purpose 3-month position, with possible extension starting at appointment and tied to available funding.
Appointment may be made on the IUA Research Assistant Scale €27,380 - €36,786 per annum. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
