Nanomaterials Symposium participants from UCC, Tyndall and visiting PhD students from Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials

 

A one day symposium on Nanomaterials was hosted at Tyndall recently, during which PhD students from the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials, Tyndall and UCC delivered a series of short presentations on their work. The visit was facilitated by Prof. Martyn Pemble, Stokes Professor of Materials Chemistry, Tyndall and UCC School of Chemistry and Julie Donnelly, Research Coordinator, Ascent.

Dr Annela Seddon, Director of the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials, Dr Ian Lindsay, MSc Director & BCFN Teaching Fellow and Dr Tom Oliver, BCFN Operational Management Team along with eleven PhD students travelled from Bristol to attend the IEEE Nano 2018 conference held at UCC last week and subsequently visited Tyndall National Institute for a day of discussions and engagement with UCC and Tyndall researchers.
